I'm working on a personal archive project. I have a folder of scanned family documents — letters, certificates, old photos with notes on the back, and a few handwritten recipes. They're all in Spanish, and I need them digitized into a clean, editable Word document.
This isn't creative writing. It's about accuracy and completeness. I need every word, every date, every handwritten note captured correctly. Photos and images should be described in brackets so the final document makes sense without needing to open the original scans.
I need someone who can read both printed and handwritten Spanish, and who has the patience to go through each page carefully.
What's in the Documents
Here's the kind of thing you'll be working with:
Printed text — letters, certificates, official documents
Handwritten notes — margins, signatures, dates, personal comments
Photos — old family photos with descriptions written on the back
Stamps and seals — official marks, dates, signatures
Simple tables — birth certificates, marriage records
Sample Task
Please transcribe this sample into clean Spanish text in your proposal. For the image and stamp, describe them in brackets.
Sample document content (simulated):
Printed text: "Certificado de Nacimiento — Registro Civil de Sevilla"
Handwritten note: "Nacido a las 3 de la mañana"
Image: A black-and-white photo of a baby, with "1942" written on the back
Stamp: Blue oval stamp with the words "Registro Civil" and a date
Your task: Type out the printed text, the handwritten note, describe the photo and stamp in brackets, and keep everything organized.
Target Reader
This is for family archive use. The final document needs to be accurate, complete, and easy to search.
Requirements
Native Spanish speaker
Able to read handwritten Spanish
Attention to detail — nothing missed
Comfortable with Word (basic formatting)
Able to describe images clearly in brackets
Deliverables
One Word document with all text transcribed
Images described in brackets (e.g., [Foto: imagen en blanco y negro de un bebé, con "1942" escrito al dorso])
If the $20 bid fee is a problem, you can apply using the PDF/docs attached to this project.
Stamps and seals described in brackets
Handwritten notes included and marked as [Manuscrito: ...]
