Remote Environmental Noise Modelling – Cars Driving on Frozen Lake, Sweden

We are looking for an acoustic/environmental noise consultant to perform a simple preliminary desktop noise assessment.

The project involves approximately 1–14 standard Audi A6 passenger cars driving on a temporary ice track on a frozen lake in Sweden.

We can provide:

Google Maps location
Track layout / KML
Locations of nearby residential houses
Number of vehicles
Approximate speeds and operating conditions
Operating hours
Photos and satellite imagery of the area
We would like you to:

Model the vehicles/track as appropriate noise sources.
Calculate outdoor sound propagation to the nearest residential properties.
Calculate estimated dB(A) levels at selected residential receivers.
Produce a simple noise contour map, preferably showing 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 dB(A).
Clearly state the assumptions used for vehicle sound levels.
Assess whether the predicted noise level at the nearest residences is below 55 dB(A).
Software such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, iNoise or equivalent can be used.

No site visit is required. The assessment should be performed entirely remotely using supplied information, GIS/topographical data and satellite/Google Maps information.

This is intended as a simple preliminary assessment rather than a full environmental impact assessment.

Budget: €300–600 fixed price.

Please include an example of a previous environmental noise map or noise propagation study you have completed.
