I’m developing a one-man magic theatre show and need an experienced writer-director who can shape a fast-moving, humour-packed script while guiding every visual beat on stage. Your primary focus will be the writing, but I’m counting on your theatre eye for scenery, lighting cues, sound transitions and the confident stage presence that keeps an audience leaning forward.

You’ll work closely with me—from brainstorming gags that flow naturally out of each illusion, through to refining the final running order—so please be comfortable collaborating over video calls and sharing annotated drafts or cue sheets online. A long-term partnership is the goal; once the premiere script is locked I’d like you involved in future rewrites and touring adjustments.

To help me choose, include links or files of past work that show your hand in solo theatre, magic, or similarly intimate productions. If you’ve coached performers or integrated comedic timing into stage illusions, be sure to mention it.

Initial deliverables I expect:
• A concise treatment outlining the story arc, comedic tone and placement of tricks
• A first draft script with dialogue, patter and transition notes
• Staging notes that map scenery, lighting states and sound effects to the script

We’ll refine from there together. Looking forward to seeing how you can turn mystery into laughter for my audience.
