Project

I am developing an original startup concept called SmartLinks — a foldable smartphone concept focused on accessibility, autism and sensory-friendly technology.

I already have concept sketches, product-design images, visual references and feature diagrams.

I am looking for an experienced industrial/product designer with CAD and consumer-electronics experience who can take my existing SmartLinks concept and develop it into a professional 3D product design.

This is an original concept. I am NOT asking for a copy of a Samsung Galaxy Fold, Google Pixel Fold or another existing smartphone.

The design can take inspiration from the general book-style foldable smartphone form factor, but the final SmartLinks design must have its own original appearance.

What I Need

The main project is to convert my existing drawings and concept images into a detailed 3D CAD model.

I would like the model to include, where appropriate:

* Folded configuration
* Fully opened configuration
* Front/cover display
* Large internal display
* Original hinge design
* Rear housing
* Camera housings
* Decorative camera lenses
* Side buttons
* Speaker openings
* USB-C area
* Sensory/adaptive light strip
* SmartLinks branding
* Screen inserts
* Separate components suitable for prototyping
* Realistic consumer-electronics proportions

The initial product will be used to create a non-functional physical appearance/presentation model.

It does NOT require a processor, PCB, battery, working cameras, antennas or functioning electronic displays.

Physical Prototype Experience

I am particularly interested in freelancers who have experience designing CAD that can subsequently be manufactured as a real physical appearance prototype using:

* SLA/resin printing
* FDM printing
* CNC
* Acrylic
* Painted plastic/resin
* Printed screen graphics
* Clear acrylic screen covers
* Prototype finishing

If you also have experience working with a physical prototype workshop or arranging fabrication, please explain this in your proposal.

Required Digital Deliverables

I would ideally like:

Master CAD

* STEP / STP

3D printing

* STL
* 3MF

Visualisation

* OBJ with relevant textures/material assets

CAD exchange

* IGES / IGS

Technical drawings where appropriate

* DXF
* DWG
* Dimensioned PDF drawings

Please also provide the editable/native CAD source file where possible.

Final project files can be supplied in an organised ZIP package.

Budget

My current budget for this first stage is approximately:

£200–£300 fixed price.

Please tell me exactly what you can realistically provide within this budget rather than applying with a price and increasing it significantly afterwards.

If a full detailed model cannot reasonably be completed within £300, please explain what first-stage deliverables you could complete within the budget.

There may be additional paid work later as the SmartLinks concept develops.

IMPORTANT — Confidentiality / NDA

SmartLinks is an original business and product concept.

I will initially provide enough reference material for you to assess the project.

Before I provide my complete collection of detailed SmartLinks drawings, specifications and confidential design information, the selected freelancer must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

The project materials must not be:

* Sold
* Distributed
* Shared with another client
* Published online
* Uploaded to social media
* Added to a portfolio without permission
* Reused for another smartphone project
* Given to another manufacturer without permission

I already have an NDA prepared for the project.

Intellectual Property

My existing SmartLinks concepts, branding, drawings and supplied materials remain my intellectual property.

For newly commissioned CAD/design work, I want the contract to clearly establish the agreed ownership and usage rights for the final paid deliverables, while allowing the freelancer to identify any legitimate pre-existing/background IP before work begins.
