I have a single load-cell already wired to an HX711 amplifier and a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller waiting on my bench. What I need now is the full workflow that lets me power it up, watch the weight climb in real time, keep every reading for later analysis, and receive an immediate alert whenever the weight crosses a user-defined threshold.

Scope
• Firmware: Calibrate the load cell, sample weight values, and publish them over Wi-Fi (MQTT, WebSocket, or REST—whatever you prefer as long as it’s reliable).
• Backend: Accept the incoming data, timestamp it, store it in a lightweight database, and expose an endpoint that streams the most recent value.
• Front-end: Build a fresh, mobile-friendly dashboard (not the placeholder at https://stately-sfogliatella-43cf6f.netlify.app) that:
– shows the live weight instantly,
– lists historical readings with basic filtering,
– allows a user to set a weight limit and toggle alerts.
• Alerts: When that limit is reached, trigger an email or push notification straight from the backend.

Acceptance criteria
– Live weight appears on the dashboard within one second of a change.
– Readings persist after reboot and can be exported as CSV.
– Alert fires every time the threshold is crossed and is logged.
– Complete source code plus a short README so I can redeploy on my own hardware or a fresh VPS.

If you already have experience with ESP32/ESP8266, Node.js, Python (Flask/FastAPI), or similar IoT stacks, it should be straightforward. I’m happy to flash the hardware and test; you handle everything else to get this prototype truly “live.”
