Smart Hot-Bar — CAD & Prototype Development
I have the core concept for a compact smart commercial hot-bar and am looking for a skilled mechanical/mechatronics engineer or product designer who is interested in working with me long term to develop the project.
I already have the main concept and functionality planned. I am looking for someone who can help turn the concept into a professional engineering design and eventually a working prototype.
Phase 1 — 3D CAD & Technical Design
Budget: $209
The first phase will focus on designing a small prototype version of the machine.
I need help with:
- Complete 3D CAD design
- Internal mechanical/component layout
- Technical drawings with dimensions
- Exploded/assembly views
- Component and material recommendations
- Basic electrical/mechatronic integration planning
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Source CAD files and fabrication-ready files
- A clear plan for building the physical prototype
Experience with SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar CAD software, as well as practical mechatronics/product-development experience, is preferred.
Phase 2 — Small Working Prototype
Assembly & testing budget: approximately $500
If Phase 1 is successful, I would like to continue with the same person to help assemble, integrate and test the small working prototype.
I will cover approved materials and components separately.
The goal is to create a small working proof of concept that can demonstrate the technology and help prepare the project for presentation to potential investors and for development of the larger machine.
Long-Term Opportunity
This is not intended to be a one-time CAD job.
If we work well together, I want to continue with the same engineer through prototype development, testing, improvements and eventually the larger commercial version.
As the machine becomes larger and more technically demanding, the budget/pay will increase according to the complexity and amount of work required.
I am ready to begin with the design phase and would like to find someone who is genuinely interested in growing with the project.
