Short-Form Video Editor Needed: One Talking-Head IG Reel/TikTok (CapCut Pro)

I’m looking for a short-form video editor for one project to edit the first video for my new Instagram/TikTok personal brand.

I recently moved from the Netherlands to Malaysia for a 6-month internship, and I’m starting to document my life here and the bigger journey of figuring out what I want to do next.

For this first project, the video is purely a talking-head video, around 1 minute long. All footage is already recorded, so there is no B-roll needed for this video.

The goal is to take a relatively simple talking-head video and make it feel engaging, modern and polished without over-editing it.

For the edit, I’m looking for:
- Clean, animated subtitles using Avenir
- Different font sizes to emphasise important words/phrases
- Potentially different font colours for certain key words/phrases where it looks good
- Good pacing and clean cuts
- Subtle punch-in/zoom-out effects to keep the video visually engaging
- Suitable background music
- Subtle sound effects and additional visual effects where appropriate (Optional)
- Overall strong pacing and retention throughout the video

I can send you reference videos showing exactly the editing style, subtitle style and overall feel I’m looking for, so you’ll have a clear idea of the direction before starting.

Important: Must use CapCut Pro
I personally use CapCut Pro on Desktop, so I’m specifically looking for an editor who also uses CapCut Pro.

Part of the reason I’m commissioning this video is because I’m learning to edit my own content. I want to be able to take inspiration from your finished edit and understand how I can recreate similar effects and techniques in CapCut for my future videos.

For now, this is only one video, not a monthly editing position. If we work well together there could potentially be more work in the future, but right now I’m looking for someone to create a really strong first video that can help establish the editing style for my content.

Budget: $15–20 USD for the completed video.
