Short Film Editor Needed

I’ve wrapped principal photography on a short film and now need a talented editor to shape the raw footage into a polished, engaging final cut. The project runs about 12 minutes in its rough assembly, shot in 4K ProRes, and includes dialogue-heavy scenes, a few handheld action moments, and some green-screen plates for minor VFX inserts.

I can provide the camera originals, separate audio takes (recorded on a Zoom F6), the shooting script, and my own reference cut showing the intended pacing. I’m open-minded about style—whether you lean cinematic, kinetic, or something in between, I’m happy to discuss what best serves the story—but I do expect smooth narrative flow, clean dialogue edits, thoughtful pacing, and tasteful use of transitions or effects rather than anything gimmicky.

Typical deliverables I’ll need:
• A locked picture edit in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve with all timelines, proxies, and project files intact
• Two review exports (H.264 1080p with visible timecode) for feedback rounds
• Final masters: 4K ProRes HQ and a web-ready H.264 4K
• Separate WAV stems for dialogue, music, and effects so my sound mixer can finish the mix

Turnaround for the first cut is ideally two weeks once you receive the media, though let me know if your schedule requires a slight adjustment. Good communication is essential; I appreciate quick responses to notes and a willingness to hop on a short call when needed.
