The task centres on wiring my existing Laravel 10 backend tightly into my Shopify store so that data flows in real-time both ways. I already rely on Laravel for business logic and reporting; now I want orders, customers, and inventory to stay perfectly in sync without manual pushes or third-party bridges.
As part of that integration you will create a private Shopify app whose main job is to deliver a custom checkout process that lives inside the Shopify flow but calls Laravel endpoints for dynamic pricing, tax calculation and discount logic. I need this to feel native to shoppers while letting Laravel keep full control of the rules.
During checkout, customers must be able to pay through PayPal, Stripe, Square and Razorpay. Gateway credentials will be supplied; all four options should appear conditionally according to the customer’s currency and location, with graceful fall-back if any API is temporarily unreachable.
Core objectives
• Real-time sync of products, inventory and orders between Shopify and Laravel via REST or GraphQL plus webhooks.
• Custom checkout embedded in Shopify that posts to Laravel, receives validated totals, then completes the order.
• Seamless payment processing with PayPal, Stripe, Square and Razorpay, including webhook handling for success, failure and refunds.
• Clear, version-controlled code (Git) and environment variables for keys so deployment to staging and production is straightforward.
Acceptance will be based on end-to-end tests: creating a product in Laravel reflects in Shopify within seconds; a test order completes through each gateway without errors; and inventory decrements correctly on both platforms. Provide concise setup documentation so my in-house team can replicate the build.
