Whiskers & Woolf is an Australian online pet retailer preparing to launch. The store is substantially built (approximately 80% complete by our assessment). Our previous consultant arrangement has not worked out, and we need an experienced Shopify specialist to take over the remaining work and help us launch. This is completion of an existing build, not a new store design.
Starting budget: AUD250 fixed-price, negotiable after reviewing the remaining work. Please give an itemised proposal, flag exclusions and dependencies, and propose achievable milestones. No additional costs or paid apps without owner approval.
Proven hands-on Shopify experience is essential. Remaining scope includes:
- Audit the existing store and supplier tracker; identify precisely what remains rather than rebuild completed work.
- Complete all agreed eligible supplier product and variant loading, images, descriptions, SKU mapping, pricing/GST, stock, collections and navigation. Experience with bulk imports and supplier integrations is required.
- Resolve Dropshipzone product-specific Australian postcode/suburb delivery restrictions, including mixed carts and accelerated checkout. Recommend a supported approach for the existing Shopify Grow plan, with limitations and full app costs identified before approval.
- Verify supplier-specific shipping rates, stock updates and manual dropship ordering workflows across multiple suppliers.
- Complete documented checkout, payment/refund and fulfilment checks, including supplier acceptance, tracking and customer notifications; paid tests require approval.
- Check mobile/desktop functionality, signup and optional marketing consent, and Klaviyo connectivity; repair relevant remaining defects.
- Provide usable written operating instructions, backups/restoration guidance and owner-controlled access. A supporting walkthrough is welcome but does not replace written documentation.
Completion means the agreed eligible catalogue is correctly loaded and purchasable, restricted destinations cannot order affected products, shipping and checkout tests pass, fulfilment is verified, and written handover is usable. Public launch requires owner approval.
Please apply with: 1) two relevant Shopify projects and your exact role; 2) an example of resolving postcode shipping/checkout restrictions and supplier integrations; 3) earliest availability, estimated delivery dates and itemised price; 4) your approach to testing and written handover. Please distinguish technical fixes from catalogue-loading costs and identify missing supplier information. We need clear daily progress updates and verifiable results.
We are building a candidate pipeline now. Appointment and start date are subject to owner confirmation. No freelancer is named or criticised in this advertisement.
