I need a friendly, well-presented host to manage the reception desk of our conference in Shanghai on 20 – 21 October. Around eighty guests will arrive over the two days, and I want each of them greeted in fluent English, checked against the registration list and handed the correct badge before they move on to the main hall. Everything will be set up for you—badges are alphabetised and the registration sheet is printed—so your focus is on smooth, welcoming interaction rather than paperwork.
The venue is in central Shanghai (exact address provided after confirmation). Reception opens at 07:00 AM on October 20 and closes at 5:00 PM. On October 21, reception opens at 08:00 AM and closes at 1:00 PM. I will brief you on-site 30 minutes before doors open and remain available for any questions throughout the event.
Deliverables:
• Arrive punctually on both days and set up the reception table.
• Greet attendees, verify their names on the list, hand over their badges and direct them to the foyer.
• Keep a simple tally of no-shows and last-minute substitutions so I have an accurate attendance count at the end of each day.
If you are energetic, organised and speak clear English (Mandarin is a bonus but not required), I would love to hear how you can help create a seamless first impression for our delegates.
