Google Sheets and Apps Script System Setup
We are looking for an experienced Google Apps Script freelancer to install, configure and activate an existing production KPI and label-request system for our business.
The system has already been created. It includes:
An Excel workbook designed for Google Sheets
Google Apps Script automation
A Google Form builder
A manager approval webpage
A production dashboard
Setup instructions
This is primarily a setup, configuration, testing and handover job—not a complete system build.
What we will provide
The complete system package
Product names and categories
Product sizes, such as 300ML, 1KG and 10KG
Product costs
Staff names
Staff hourly wages
Manager names and email addresses
Access to the Google account that will own the system
Required setup work
Import the supplied workbook into Google Sheets.
Set the spreadsheet time zone to Australia/Sydney.
Enter our product information using:
Category
Size
Product
Cost
Active
Enter staff names, hourly wages and active status.
Enter the approved manager names:
Ethan Murray
Harman Verma
Add the manager email address used for notifications.
Install the supplied Code.gs file in Google Apps Script.
Install the supplied ApprovalPage.html file.
Run the supplied setupSystem function.
Authorise the required Google permissions.
Create and configure the Google Form.
Confirm the Form displays products according to their selected category.
Install and verify the submission and spreadsheet triggers.
Deploy the manager approval page as a Google Apps Script web app.
Configure appropriate access permissions.
Confirm the manager dropdown displays Ethan Murray and Harman Verma.
Add links or desktop shortcuts on our production computer for:
Staff label-request Form
Manager approval page
Production Sheet and dashboard
Test the entire workflow from beginning to end.
Remove the demonstration data after testing.
Provide a short handover explaining how to add products, change costs, update staff wages and redeploy the system.
Required testing
The freelancer must demonstrate that:
Staff can submit a label request.
Categories display the correct products and sizes.
New requests appear as Pending.
Managers receive the notification.
Managers can approve or reject requests.
The correct manager name is recorded.
Approved requests receive a unique batch number.
Approved requests appear in the Production Log.
Production staff can enter actual quantity, completion details and labour hours.
Product cost is calculated correctly.
Wage cost is calculated from labour hours and hourly wage.
Total direct production cost is calculated correctly.
Staff statistics update for the current and previous week, month and year.
The dashboard updates correctly.
The system works from our production computer.
Ownership and security requirements
All Google Sheets, Forms, scripts, triggers and web-app deployments must be owned by our Google account.
The freelancer must not host any part of the system permanently in their own account.
Access must be limited to the people who need it.
The freelancer must not retain access after the project is completed.
Any temporary passwords or access permissions must be removed or changed at handover.
The supplied system should not be rebuilt or materially changed without approval.
