Senior Revit Draftsperson & BIM Coordinator – Australian Residential

Snaz Designs is looking for an experienced Revit Draftsperson / Architectural Technician to assist with residential renovations, extensions and house projects in Brisbane and Queensland.

We need someone who understands Australian residential construction and documentation, not just how to use Revit.

Key responsibilities

- Produce residential construction drawings in Revit
- Existing, demolition and proposed plans
- Site plans, roof plans, elevations and sections
- Door and window schedules
- Kitchen, bathroom and internal elevations
- Construction details and annotations
- Update drawings from designer, engineer and certifier markups
- Coordinate project documentation
- Identify missing information rather than making assumptions

Revit management

A major part of this role will be helping Snaz Designs improve and manage its Revit systems. You will be expected to:

- Set up and improve the Snaz Designs Revit template
- Create standard view templates
- Create and organise Revit families
- Set up standard notes, tags and annotations
- Create door, window and other schedules
- Set up standard sheets and drawing layouts
- Create standard residential construction details
- Maintain consistent naming and file organisation
- Improve project setup and Revit workflows
- Establish office Revit standards
- Help maintain consistency across all projects
- Keep the Revit library organised and up to date

The aim is to build a professional Revit system that makes Snaz Designs projects faster, more consistent and easier to manage.

Essential experience

- Advanced Autodesk Revit skills
- Strong Australian residential drafting experience
- Experience with renovations and extensions
- Understanding of the NCC and Australian residential construction
- Experience producing construction and building approval drawings
- Good written English
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Experience setting up Revit templates, libraries and office standards

Queensland or Brisbane residential experience is highly desirable.
