Sci-Fi Novel Beta Reader/Editor Needed

I need a human beta reader or fiction editor to evaluate a completed 68,700-word adult military/procedural science-fiction novel consisting of 33 chapters.

The story involves legacy relativistic weapons, interstellar politics, alien technology, ethical accountability, strong character interactions, and restrained humor. Although the working title is Space Janitors, this is not broad comedy.

This is a complete manuscript beta read and editorial assessment—not ghostwriting or a full line edit.

Required deliverables:

• Read the complete manuscript.
• Provide a detailed five-to-eight-page reader report.
• Evaluate plot, pacing, chapter flow, character development, dialogue, relationships, worldbuilding, continuity, and timeline.
• Identify confusing, slow, repetitive, overly technical, or unnecessary scenes.
• Evaluate the opening, ending, originality, and potential science-fiction clichés.
• Give an honest opinion about whether the book is ready for Amazon KDP.
• Evaluate whether the title Space Janitors gives readers the wrong impression.
• Flag noticeable errors encountered while reading.
• Answer one round of follow-up questions.

The work must be completed personally by a human. Generative AI may not be used to read, summarize, rewrite, or produce the report. The manuscript must remain confidential and may not be uploaded to an external AI system.

Applicants must begin their proposal with “847,” describe their science-fiction experience, provide a sample reader report, confirm that they personally will read the manuscript, and state exactly what their report will contain.
