I have a batch of scanned documents that need to be turned into clean, editable text. All content is purely textual—no tables or numbers—so the focus is accurate transcription and basic formatting that matches the original layout (paragraph breaks, headings, line breaks where obvious).
The workflow is straightforward:
• Open each scanned file (images/PDFs supplied after award), either run your preferred OCR tool or type manually.
• Proof-read every line; I expect at least 99 % accuracy and no omissions.
• Deliver the compiled text in a single Word file (docx) or, if you prefer, a plain-text file with clear section breaks.
Before hand-off, please spot-check for spelling, obvious scan artefacts, and stray line endings.
Feel free to use any OCR software—Tesseract, Adobe Acrobat, Abbyy, etc.—as long as the final text meets the accuracy target.
