SAP Portal Reporting & Leave Fix

I run an SAP Enterprise Portal that fronts our SAP HCM system and I need two things taken care of right away.

First, I want to roll out proper Reporting and Analytics so managers can pull real-time head-count, absence and cost-centre figures directly from the portal instead of jumping into the backend. Standard BW queries are already available in the system; what’s missing is the portal-side setup—iViews, role assignments, and a clean, drill-down dashboard that renders well on current browsers.

Second, our Content Management area needs attention. We host HR policies, forms and the usual multimedia banners, but versioning, categorisation and search are inconsistent. I’d like you to streamline that workflow so HR staff can publish, update and retire content without calling IT every time.

The immediate pain point is leave management: users cannot delete a leave request once it has been posted through the ESS service. The request sits locked in the portal although the underlying quota is still open in SAP HCM. I need the root cause identified—whether it’s a Web Dynpro ABAP issue, a workflow status code, or an authorisation mismatch—and a clean fix deployed to production.

Acceptance will be based on:
• Dashboards loading inside the portal with drill-down and export enabled.
• CMS section allowing authorised users to upload, version and retire content without error.
• Employees able to delete a posted leave request and see quota updated instantly in SAP HCM.
• A brief technical hand-over document covering objects changed, transports, and any custom code.
