SAP ABAP Developer

This is a remote position.
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP / S/4HANA Service Developer to join an international Customer Service transformation program on 4 days per week basis. The role focuses on developing and enhancing SAP S/4HANA Service solutions, supporting migration initiatives, and contributing to a modern, scalable service architecture. You will work within a skilled, cross-functional team in a dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on continuous delivery, innovation, and long-term solution evolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA Service (Advanced Execution) solutions

Support S/4HANA migration projects and ongoing system improvements

Contribute to a continuous delivery setup and multi-year service modernization roadmap

Design and build SAP Fiori / UI5 applications using modern UX principles

Implement business requirements using:

Exits, BAdIs, Enhancements

CDS Views and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)

OData services (V2/V4)

Design and maintain integrations and interfaces:

RFC, IDocs, OData, Web Services, ABAP Proxy

Collaborate closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders

Provide technical consulting to SAP Inhouse teams and IT projects

Support:

Quality management processes

Custom code lifecycle management

3rd-level support and troubleshooting

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field

Several years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development

Strong expertise in SAP CS or S/4HANA Service environments

Solid experience with:

SAP Fiori / UI5

CDS Views and RAP

Modern ABAP development practices

Experience working with integrations and interface technologies (RFC, IDoc, OData, APIs)

Ability to work effectively in both agile and traditional delivery models

Strong analytical mindset with a structured and independent way of working

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Fluent English (German is a plus)

Nice to Have:
Experience with additional SAP modules

Knowledge of:

SAP Workflow

SAP Script / Adobe Forms

Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or practices
