Sales Data Analysis & Visualization

I have a single Excel/CSV file (no more than 5,000 rows) containing sales figures that I need transformed into crisp, decision-ready insights. First, the dataset must be scrubbed—removing duplicates, resolving or imputing any missing values, and standardising basic formats—so the numbers tell an honest story from the start.

Once the data is spotless, I want a short but thorough exploratory analysis that zeroes in on two angles: how performance varies across regions and what the figures reveal about each product category. I’m especially interested in discovering any high-performing pockets or lagging segments that a quick glance might overlook.

For visual storytelling, I prefer bar charts and would like up to five of them: each one should highlight a key finding rather than simply mirror a table. Feel free to suggest additional chart types if they illuminate the narrative, but bars will be the core.

Please wrap everything up in a concise report (slides or PDF are fine) that spells out the main insights, why they matter, and any actionable takeaways. Alongside the report, deliver the cleaned dataset and the original chart files so I can reuse them later.

Acceptance criteria:
• Cleaned dataset matches original row count minus any removed duplicates.
• Analysis addresses both regional performance and product category differences with clear commentary.
• Up to five bar charts, each labelled and sourced, supplied in editable format (PNG + original workbook or script).
• Final report summarises methods, key findings, and recommendations in plain language.
