# Freelance Automation Testing Engineer – SaaS Web & Mobile Application

We are looking for an experienced **Automation Testing Freelancer / QA Automation Engineer** to help us set up and establish an automation testing framework for our **SaaS-based product**, which includes both a **web application and a mobile application**.

The primary requirement is to help us during the **initial setup phase**, define the automation strategy, build the framework, automate critical test scenarios, and establish a scalable structure that our internal team can continue using.

## Scope of Work

* Understand our SaaS product, business workflows, and application architecture.
* Review the existing web and mobile application and suggest an appropriate automation testing approach.
* Set up the automation testing framework from scratch.
* Automate critical **functional, regression, and end-to-end test cases**.
* Automate important user journeys such as:

* Login / Authentication
* User onboarding
* Employee management
* Attendance / Leave workflows
* Role-based access
* Form submissions and validations
* API integrations
* Notifications / OTP workflows
* Reports and data validation
* Other critical business workflows based on the product modules
* Set up automated testing for both **web and mobile applications**.
* Integrate **API automation testing** wherever required.
* Set up reusable test scripts, utilities, test data management, and reporting.
* Configure test execution across different environments.
* Provide guidance on **CI/CD integration** so automated tests can eventually run as part of our deployment pipeline.
* Identify the most critical regression test cases that should be automated first.
* Help establish best practices for maintaining and expanding the automation suite.
* Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to our internal development/QA team.

## Expected Deliverables

1. Automation testing framework setup.
2. Initial set of critical automated test cases.
3. Web application automation suite.
4. Mobile application automation suite.
5. API automation where applicable.
6. Test execution and reporting setup.
7. Basic CI/CD integration guidance/setup.
8. Documentation covering framework structure, execution process, and maintenance.
9. Knowledge transfer session for our internal team.
10. Recommendations for the next phase of automation coverage.

## Preferred Technical Experience

Experience with one or more of the following would be preferred:

* **Playwright / Selenium / Cypress** for web automation
* **Appium** or equivalent framework for mobile automation
* **Postman / REST Assured / similar tools** for API automation
* JavaScript / TypeScript / Python / Java / C# depending on the selected framework
* Git / GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket
* CI/CD tools and pipelines
* Experience with cloud-based SaaS applications
* Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL databases is a plus

We are open to your recommendation regarding the **best automation technology/framework** based on our application architecture. We are more interested in a robust, maintainable solution than simply using a particular tool.

## Engagement

Initially, this will be an **initial setup and consulting/implementation engagement**. If the collaboration works well, there may be an opportunity for **ongoing automation testing and maintenance support**.
