Overview

We are at 95% completion on our web/mobile app and need a detail-oriented QA tester for a focused, 1-day smoke and edge-case testing pass before public launch.

Your objective is to stress-test core user flows, uncover edge-case defects, UI/UX misalignments, performance bottlenecks, and document everything clearly with video proofs and step-by-step reproduction notes.

Scope of Work

Execute end-to-end user journeys (account creation, core action flows, edge cases, rapid tapping/form submissions, network toggling).Validate responsiveness across standard mobile viewport sizes and orientations.

Document every bug with clear severity, reproducible steps, device environment, and screen recordings.

Mandatory Deliverables

To successfully complete this contract and receive milestone release, the following deliverables must be submitted:
1. Device & Environment Log

A verified table listing the hardware and software used during testing:Device Make & Exact Model (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra)OS Version (e.g., iOS 18.x, Android 14)Browser/Build Version (if testing via mobile Safari, Chrome, or specific staging build/TestFlight)Network Environment (Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, degraded/throttled connection)

2. Screen Recordings of All Identified BugsFormat: Clean MP4 or Loom/CloudApp links.Requirements:Must visually capture the exact sequence leading up to the bug.Video must clearly show screen taps/gestures and the resulting unexpected behavior or crash.Audio explanation or text callout overlay identifying the defect.

3. Structured Bug ReportA centralized document (Google Sheets, Notion, or CSV) with:Issue ID & Title (concise summary)Severity Level: Critical (showstopper/data loss), High (major flow broken), Medium (UI glitch/misalignment), Low (cosmetic/copy)Steps to Reproduce: Exact 1-2-3 sequential actionsExpected Result vs. Actual ResultLink to Video Proof & ScreenshotsConsole Logs / Error Messages (if reproducible via developer tools or crash logs)

4. Verified Time LogActive time tracking log showing total hours spent testing (Upwork desktop tracker, Clockify, or Toggl export).Breakdown of time spent per testing phase (e.g., Happy Path / Flow Testing: 3 hrs; Edge Cases & Stress Testing: 2 hrs; Documentation & Video Capture: 2 hrs).Requirements & QualificationsProven track record testing responsive web apps and/or native mobile applications.Access to modern physical devices (specify your devices in your proposal).

Ability to complete testing and submit the final report within 24 hours of kickoff.

Fluent written English for clear bug reporting.
