I need a self-contained agent that links to the Robinhood API, watches U.S. equities in real time, and places day-trade buy and sell orders for me without manual input.
Core scope
• Connect securely to my Robinhood account (OAuth or token, no credential hard-coding).
• Accept my list of tickers and predefined entry/exit rules (I’ll supply the logic or indicators; you focus on execution).
• Monitor live quotes, place market or limit orders instantly, and confirm fills.
• Run continuously during market hours, log every action, and alert me on success or failure.
• Provide a simple config file or GUI where I can toggle symbols, position size, max trades per day, and trading hours.
Implementation notes
Python is preferred because of the existing robin_stocks and alpaca-trade-api wrappers, but I’m open to another language if it shortens maintenance. Please structure the code so I can later bolt on stop-loss, technical analysis, or crypto modules without rewriting the core executor.
Deliverables
1. Fully commented source code with virtual-env or requirements.txt.
2. Read-me covering setup, environment variables, and how to switch between paper and live mode.
3. A short screen-share demo showing at least two successful paper trades.
Acceptance criteria
The script must log in, detect price moves, place the instructed buy and sell orders on Robinhood’s paper account, and write a timestamped trade log that matches the account’s order history.
