Revenue Tracking Excel Workbook

I need a clean, reliable Excel workbook where I can hand-type every sale as it happens. Each row will capture four fields only—date, customer, product or service, and amount—so the layout must be simple enough for quick manual entry but structured well enough for consistent reporting.

On a separate tab, the file should roll those records up into an automatic monthly total revenue summary. A PivotTable, SUMIFS formulas, or any other native Excel feature is fine; the key is that the totals refresh seamlessly the moment I add another line on the entry sheet. Right now I only need the month-by-month view, though it would be nice if the design could be extended later to show customer or product breakdowns without a full rebuild.

Keep everything macro-free unless you believe a small, clearly commented VBA snippet will save significant time. Please include any simple data‐validation touches—date picker, dropdowns for common customers or products—so entry errors are kept to a minimum.

Deliverables:
• An unlocked Excel workbook with the entry sheet and the monthly summary tab fully linked
• A short note (one page or less) explaining where to paste new rows and how the calculations update

That’s all I need to start tracking revenue accurately and quickly.
