After a full Windows 11 reinstall my HP Smart software disappeared and the desktop shortcut went with it. I can still send print jobs directly from the printer’s control panel, but I no longer have the option to start a scan from the computer and the convenience of the one-click shortcut is gone.
What I need right now is simple and urgent: please reinstall the free HP Smart application on my Windows 11 PC, set it up so it recognizes my printer again, reset the USB connection to ensure proper recognition, and put the working shortcut back on the desktop. The device is connected to the computer through both Wi-Fi and a USB cable, so whichever path gets the software talking to the printer fastest is fine with me—just make sure scanning works from the computer once we are done.
