I need a solid, maintainable test suite built in Java with Rest Assured that exercises both our public-facing REST endpoints and several AWS service APIs we rely on. The core focus is functional coverage: every call must be verified for the expected payload, status code, and error handling, while also proving that login flows, role-based permissions, and other security checks hold up under edge-case scenarios.

Because many operations pass through AWS before returning to the app, the tests must confirm that data actually travels the full path—capturing what leaves the app, what lands in each AWS service, and what ultimately comes back. A small helper that taps CloudWatch or similar logs for confirmation is welcome.

I work in a Java toolchain, so a Maven or Gradle project structured for easy CI integration (GitHub Actions) is preferred. TestNG or JUnit is fine, just keep reporting clean and parsable by common dashboards like Allure.

Deliverables
• Source code for the Rest Assured test suite, organised by endpoint and environment
• Configuration management that lets me point to dev, staging, or prod without code changes
• Read-me with setup steps and how each scenario validates responses, security, and AWS data flow
• A sample CI workflow file showing how the suite can run headless after every merge

If this first phase goes smoothly, I may expand coverage to UI layers (Selenium or Playwright) and to streaming validation with Kinesis/Kafka, so keep the project modular.
