Residential Smart Home Electrical Setup

I’m upgrading my house to a fully connected smart-home and need an experienced electrician who is comfortable with residential automation from the breaker panel right through to the phone app.

Scope of work
• Smart lighting
• Security systems (cameras, sensors, alarms)
• Climate control (thermostats, smart vents, HVAC integration)
• Any additional automations you believe will improve convenience or energy efficiency

The job starts with a review of my current wiring and a clear plan for how the new low-voltage and mains runs will coexist safely. I expect neat cable management, labelled circuits, and compliance with all local codes. You’ll specify the hubs, switches, relays, and controllers—whether that ends up being KNX, Lutron, Zigbee/Z-Wave, or a mixed approach—so long as everything talks to each other reliably and can be managed from a single dashboard.

Deliverables
1. Wiring and device layout diagram
2. Bill of materials with part numbers
3. On-site installation and configuration
4. Walk-through and hand-over documentation, including backup of all controller settings

Acceptance criteria
• Every light, sensor, and thermostat controllable through the agreed app and via voice (Alexa or Google Home)
• No exposed or unlabelled wiring inside panels or junction boxes
• Final system passes safety inspection and functions without errors for 48 hours after commissioning
