Remote Part-Time Medical CSR

Ohio Valley Eye Institute patients deserve a calm, informed voice every time they reach out. In this fully remote, part-time role you’ll be that first point of contact, guiding them from the initial question to a confirmed appointment and, when needed, a resolved billing balance.

Daily flow
• Respond to phone, email, and portal inquiries with clear, empathetic communication.
• Securely schedule and adjust appointments in our practice-management software, coordinating with physicians’ calendars.
• Process copayments, post insurance payments, and answer basic billing questions, escalating complex issues to our revenue team.

Success in the seat
Excellent communication skills, a steady hand under pressure, and prior experience with medical office software (Compulink, NextGen, or similar) are non-negotiable. HIPAA awareness must already be second nature.

Schedule & environment
Expect approximately 20 hours per week on rotating shifts that may alternate between morning and afternoon blocks to keep our lines covered. All work is completed from your own quiet, secure home office with reliable broadband and a headset.
