Remote Dispatcher — Day & Night Shifts
National Fleet Network (NFN) is looking for reliable remote dispatchers to help coordinate roadside repair and towing services for commercial fleet customers across the United States.
This is a phone-heavy operations role. You’ll communicate with drivers, fleet managers, mobile mechanics, and towing providers while helping keep service calls moving from initial request through completion.
Responsibilities
* Answer and make phone calls related to active service requests
* Collect breakdown details, vehicle information, and location information
* Contact available mechanics and towing providers
* Dispatch the appropriate provider to the job
* Monitor active jobs and follow up when needed
* Keep customers updated on technician/provider status
* Enter accurate notes and updates into our dispatch system
* Escalate unusual or urgent situations appropriately
* Help maintain fast response times and professional customer service
Requirements
* Excellent spoken English with clear, natural phone communication
* Comfortable speaking with U.S.-based customers and service providers
* Strong listening and comprehension skills
* Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment
* Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy periods
* Strong attention to detail
* Dependable and responsive while on shift
* Comfortable learning new software and dispatch procedures
Automotive, diesel, roadside assistance, towing, trucking, fleet management, call center, or dispatch experience is strongly preferred but not required.
Schedule
We are hiring for both:
* Day shift
* Night shift
Please include your availability and time zone in your application.
Pay
$4–$6 USD per hour depending on experience, communication skills, and availability.
This can become a long-term position for the right person.
How to Apply
Please include:
1. Your relevant dispatch, customer service, automotive, trucking, or call-center experience
2. Your normal working hours and time zone
3. Your expected hourly rate
4. Your internet connection reliability
5. A 60–90 second voice recording answering the following scenario:
“A commercial truck driver calls and says their truck has broken down at a loading facility and will not start. Walk us through how you would handle the call, what information you would collect, and what you would tell the driver.”
IMPORTANT — VOICE RECORDING REQUIRED
If you contact us or submit a proposal without including the requested voice recording, you will NOT be considered for the position.
Please do not send the recording later or ask whether it is required. It is a mandatory part of the initial application and is how we evaluate spoken English and phone communication skills.
Generic proposals without the requested information will also not be considered.
We are specifically looking for someone who communicates clearly, thinks quickly, stays calm under pressure, and can confidently manage conversations with customers and service providers.
