Experienced WordPress Developer Needed to Complete & Refine Existing B2B Procurement Website

Project Description

I am looking for an experienced WordPress developer to continue and complete an existing company website for an international sourcing and procurement business operating from China and serving clients in the Middle East, Europe and other international markets.

The website is already developed and operational. This is not a new website build.

The project requires a developer who can work carefully within the existing design, improve and complete individual pages, correct layout and responsive-display issues, implement enquiry forms and links, and ensure a consistent professional appearance throughout the website.

The website represents a B2B company providing China sourcing, manufacturer verification, quality control, production follow-up, cargo consolidation, logistics and related procurement services.

A substantial amount of the design direction and written content has already been established.

Current Scope of Work

The selected developer will initially work on one existing service page as a paid test assignment.

If the quality of work, communication and turnaround are satisfactory, the developer may then be engaged to complete the remaining website work, including:

Refinement and completion of 8 individual service pages.
Consistent page layout, typography, spacing and alignment.
Correct display of hero/banner images without stretching or distortion.
Desktop, tablet and mobile responsive optimisation.
Implementation/refinement of calls-to-action.
Development of customer enquiry/RFQ forms.
Creation of different enquiry routes depending on the service selected.
Linking service-page buttons to the appropriate enquiry forms.
Removal or modification of unnecessary animation/lazy-display effects where required.
Development of a future Products section using an agreed structure.
General website consistency and final quality control.
Performance/speed review and optimisation where appropriate.

The intention is to complete the existing website professionally — not redesign it from the beginning.

Important Technical Requirement — Image Editing

Some existing service-page banners contain graphics, typography and supplied company documentation.

The developer must be capable of making precise manual edits using appropriate software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or equivalent.

AI tools may be used as an aid, but I do not want important graphics repeatedly regenerated by AI simply to correct text, spelling, alignment or other minor elements.

Existing high-quality artwork must not be degraded, distorted or unnecessarily regenerated.

WordPress Skills Required

The developer should have strong experience with:

WordPress
Elementor and/or custom WordPress page editing
HTML/CSS
Responsive CSS
Desktop/tablet/mobile optimisation
Contact and RFQ forms
File-upload forms
Conditional/dynamic forms
CTA/button linking
Image optimisation
Website performance optimisation
Basic technical SEO/page structure
Photoshop/Figma/Illustrator or equivalent image-editing software

Experience working on B2B, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, procurement or corporate websites would be particularly useful.

Working Method

Accuracy is more important than simply completing changes quickly.

I will provide a written list of requested changes for each page.

The developer will be expected to:

Read the complete revision list before starting.

Complete all requested items in the list.

Check their own work before asking me to review it.

Avoid changing elements that have not been requested.

Advise immediately if a requested change presents a technical problem rather than spending substantial billable time experimenting.

Provide an estimated time/cost for each agreed batch of work before commencing.

Corrections required because of errors introduced during implementation should not become additional rounds of chargeable client revisions.

Availability — Important

My principal website review and development time is generally Friday and Saturday, Qatar time (UTC+3).

Therefore, I am particularly interested in a developer who can provide reasonable working availability during Friday and/or Saturday and communicate with me during these periods.

Please state your normal working days, working hours and time zone in your proposal.

Good communication and reasonable response times are important because the remaining website needs to be completed efficiently.

Initial Paid Test

I do not intend to award the entire remaining website immediately.

The first assignment will be a small paid fixed-price test involving one existing service page.

The page already exists.

The test will involve following a clearly defined list of corrections involving areas such as:

page layout;
text alignment;
hero/banner sizing and proportions;
responsive behaviour;
typography;
image quality;
CTA/button positioning and linking; and
general visual consistency.

No major redesign will be required.

The purpose of the test is to evaluate:

Accuracy — Communication — Technical ability — Attention to detail — Turnaround time — Ability to follow instructions

A successful developer can then be offered the remaining service pages and other website work.
