Paid Sequential Artist Wanted — Neo-Noir Creator-Owned Comic

I’m looking for a sequential comic artist for MERCY, a grounded neo-noir character drama built around atmosphere, physical acting, emotional restraint, and cinematic storytelling.

The story relies heavily on what happens between the dialogue: facial expressions, body language, silence, close-ups, shadows, urban environments, and characters whose emotions must remain readable even when no one is speaking.

I’m looking for an artist who can maintain consistent character likenesses across pages, draw believable anatomy and environments, compose clear cinematic panels, and move comfortably between quiet intimate scenes and physical action.

This is a paid project. My initial goal is approximately 6–8 completed sequential pages, with the possibility of continuing into an eight-issue, approximately 22-page-per-issue series if the creative relationship works for both of us.

I am open to artists who provide pencils only, pencils and inks, or fuller page production. Please state exactly what stages you provide and your page rate for each.

When applying, please include: 3–5 consecutive sequential pages from the same project; your page rate; typical turnaround time; what stages of production you handle; your availability for the initial pages; and whether you would potentially be interested in a longer-term series.

Covers, pinups and character illustrations are welcome as supplemental samples, but sequential storytelling samples are required.
