The goal is to build a complete attendance management solution with a React front-end and a .NET Core back-end. Three user roles—Admin, Manager and Employee—must authenticate and see only the screens relevant to them.
Core functionality:
• Employees clock in and out directly from the web application.
• Managers approve leave and view real-time team attendance.
• Admins configure work schedules, create users and run organisation-wide attendance reports.
Additional requirements
• Secure RESTful API built in .NET Core that the React SPA consumes.
• Persistent data store (SQL Server or PostgreSQL—whichever you are most comfortable with) using Entity Framework Core.
• Clear separation of layers so future mobile or biometric integrations can plug into the same API.
• Responsive UI; basic dashboard widgets for daily status, leave balances and monthly summaries.
Deliverables
1. Source code for React app and .NET Core API in a Git repo.
2. Database schema and seed data scripts.
3. Postman (or Swagger) collection demonstrating every endpoint.
4. Short deployment guide for running the system locally or on a VPS.
Acceptance criteria
• A user from each role can log in, perform their allowed actions and is blocked from anything else.
• Clock-in/clock-out entries instantly reflect in attendance reports.
• Leave requests change the employee’s availability and appear in managerial approval screens.
• All pages load in
