I have a scanned PDF manuscript of roughly 51 – 100 pages that needs to be turned into an editable digital document. The scan is clear and mostly printed text; only a handful of pages include short handwritten annotations that I still need captured—either reproduced verbatim in brackets or clearly flagged so I can review them later.
The job is straightforward: faithfully type everything exactly as it appears, keep the original section breaks, headings, and any basic formatting, and supply the finished file in Microsoft Word (DOCX). If you prefer to run an OCR pass first, that is fine, but please proofread so the final copy is error-free and consistent throughout.
Acceptance criteria
• Complete Word file matching the source content and layout
• All handwritten notes transcribed and distinguishable (e.g., [handwritten])
• Spelling, punctuation, and paragraphing double-checked for accuracy
Once delivered, I will perform a quick spot check across several pages; if everything aligns, we are done.
