Python MySQL Data Entry Automation

I need a concise Python script that takes repetitive data-entry work off my hands. The information already sits inside a MySQL database; the problem is moving, reformatting, and inserting it into the correct tables each day without manual effort.

Here is what I am looking for:

• A clean, well-commented Python script (Python 3.x) that connects to my existing MySQL instance, fetches the source records, applies a few straightforward transformation rules I will supply, and inserts or updates the target tables.
