Python Data Entry Automation -- 2

I need a clean, well-structured Python script that removes the manual work from my current data-entry routine. The goal is simple: feed the script a source file and let it take care of entering those records exactly where they belong, every time, without me touching the keyboard.

How I picture the flow
1. The script reads a CSV or Excel file that I drop into a watched folder.
2. It maps each column to the corresponding fields in our system (API endpoint, web form, or database table—whichever you recommend for reliability).
3. It submits the data, then writes a log showing successes, failures, and any rows it skipped.
4. A simple config file lets me tweak field mappings or connection details without editing the Python code itself.

Must-haves
• Python 3.x, with sensible use of pandas, requests, or Selenium where appropriate.
• Clear error handling so one bad row doesn’t crash the whole import.
• Inline comments and a short README explaining setup, dependencies, and how to run the script.
• Output logs saved to a timestamped file for traceability.

Nice to have (not mandatory)
• Progress bar in the console.
• Option to schedule runs via cron/Task Scheduler.
• A quick Loom or screenshot walkthrough of the script in action.

Deliverables
1. The .py file(s) and any supporting modules.
2. requirements.txt for pip install.
3. README or video guide.
