Python AI Chatbot Development

I need a lightweight chatbot built in Python that can recognise everyday, general-information questions from users and reply with concise, text-only answers. It will live inside a mobile app, so please structure the code as a self-contained module (or API endpoint) that my app developer can invoke directly.

The logic does not have to be enterprise-level; a clean intent–entity approach or a small transformer model is fine as long as it reliably maps common queries to the correct response. Leveraging libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, HuggingFace Transformers, or Rasa is welcome if they speed things up and keep the footprint small.

To help me plug this into the existing app, please include:
• Well-commented Python source code
• A brief README explaining setup, training (if any), and how to call the chatbot from the mobile layer
• A sample intents file or knowledge base so I can expand the responses later

I’ll validate the work by running a short test suite of typical information requests; successful replies with no crashes or mis-routes will mark the milestone complete.
