Project description
I am looking for an experienced GIS freelancer with expertise in ArcGIS Pro, public transport network analysis, and urban planning to prepare a Public Transport Accessibility Level (PTAL) map for the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar–GIFT City regional study area in Gujarat, India.
The objective is to assess public transport accessibility using existing public transport infrastructure, including AMTS, BRTS, Ahmedabad Metro, GSRTC, Gandhinagar public transport and GIFT City connectivity.
The freelancer must collect authentic, available transport data from official and reliable sources, process the data in GIS, conduct PTAL analysis, and provide all editable project files.
Study area
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and surrounding urban areas.
Gandhinagar city and surrounding areas.
GIFT City and its regional transport connections.
Scope of work
Collect existing public transport data: bus stops, bus routes, BRTS stations and corridors, Metro stations and lines, and relevant regional bus services.
Prepare GIS layers for the study boundary, road and pedestrian networks, public transport stops, and routes.
Conduct PTAL analysis using walking access, service frequency, waiting time, and public transport accessibility.
Prepare a regional PTAL map showing accessibility levels across the study area.
Prepare a walkability/accessibility layer and explain its relationship with PTAL results.
Prepare a professional cartographic layout suitable for an M.Plan academic report and jury presentation.
Required software: ArcGIS Pro. ArcGIS Network Analyst experience is preferred.
Expected deliverables
Complete and editable ArcGIS Pro project (.aprx).
Geodatabase containing all processed GIS layers.
Public transport route and stop datasets.
PTAL raster or polygon output with clearly defined accessibility classes.
Walkability/accessibility analysis output.
Final high-resolution map in PDF and PNG format.
Data source list, methodology, assumptions, and processing steps.
Please mention your experience with PTAL mapping, public transport GIS, and ArcGIS Pro. Also provide a sample of similar work and your estimated cost and delivery time.
The project must use genuine data and clearly disclose any missing or estimated service frequency information. No fabricated route, stop, or frequency data should be used.
