I need a working prototype of a fully-automated roti-making machine that can turn out 100 soft, evenly cooked rotis in 30 minutes while keeping the total build cost under ₹10,000. Durability is my top priority: gears, belts, heating plates, and the overall frame must stand up to continuous use without needing frequent maintenance.
Heating flexibility is also essential. The design has to accept both induction coils and standard gas burners so I can switch energy sources as required. From dough portioning and pressing to cooking, puffing, and neatly stacking, every step should run hands-free once ingredients are loaded.
To keep the budget realistic, I’m open to clever use of off-the-shelf components, 3-D-printed parts, recycled food-grade stainless, or low-cost electronics such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi for control and sensor feedback. Just make sure anything in contact with the dough is food safe, easy to clean, and remains rigid over time.
Deliverables I expect:
• CAD drawings with assembly instructions
• A complete bill of materials showing per-item cost and total staying below ₹10,000
• Control schematics and firmware source code
• A short demonstration video of the prototype producing 100 rotis in the stated time
• Post-prototype notes highlighting durability tests and any recommended improvements
