What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the storage infrastructure that supports large-scale computing environments. This role includes designing, configuring, and maintaining high-performance storage systems, such as parallel file systems, NAS, SAN, and object storage platforms, to ensure fast, reliable access to data for researchers, engineers, and data scientists.
You will:
You will work with a small team of engineers who provide high speed storage and compute, monitor storage performance and capacity, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, implement backup and disaster recovery strategies, and ensure data security and compliance.

Essential Requirements

5+ years experience with high-speed storage in an HPC environment – preferably GPFS and experience with large data backups – preferably Working knowledge of Dell PowerVault storage

Working knowledge of GPFS - preferably PixStor

Working knowledge of NFS

RedHat administration

Desirable Requirements

Experience with GIT, shell scripting, Perl, Python, Ansible and storage fundamentals to include both NAS and block

Experience with Mellanox Infiniband, Intel Omni-Path, Storage experience: Panasas, S3 relationships
