Kids Animated Series Scriptwriter Needed (3 to 4 Minute Episodes) Native English speaker required, ideally based in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia, with experience writing for preschool children.
I'm building an animated kids' brand around Axel, a cheerful Rottweiler puppy who wears a backpack and has a big heart, both literally and in the way he treats everyone around him. The character was designed by a professional illustrator, and now I'm looking for a writer to bring him to life through short, complete stories.
Each episode should run about three to four minutes and tell a full story with a clear beginning, a small problem, and a warm resolution. The audience is children aged roughly three to six, so the language needs to be simple, the pacing calm, and the humor gentle. What matters most to me is that every story quietly teaches something real, like being honest, sharing, saying sorry, or learning how to calm down when you feel angry or scared, without ever feeling preachy. Parents should feel good about their kids watching it, and kids should simply enjoy it.
I'd like the full package for each episode: the story, scene descriptions, and all the dialogue, written so it can be turned directly into an animated video. To start, I'll ask for one paid 150USD test episode, and if we're a good fit, I'm planning an ongoing series.
A background in early childhood education, child psychology, or writing for preschool audiences would be a big plus. Please note that I'm looking for original, human-written work only, with no AI-generated scripts, and all rights to the stories and characters will belong to me once the work is paid for.
When you apply, please share a short sample of something you've written for young children and a few words on what kind of story you'd write for Axel's first episode.
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.
