This is a new international current-affairs publication built around one product: one consequential story each weekday, analysed through a transparent five-stage methodology.

The attached mock-ups show the desired visual direction and page architecture. Please use these as the principal design reference rather than redesigning the concept from scratch.

Design direction

Contemporary premium international publication: authoritative, distinctive and highly readable.

Use:

* Strong editorial serif typography
* Clean sans-serif supporting typography
* Generous whitespace
* Black / off-white foundation
* Restrained red accent
* Strong visual hierarchy
* Bold use of photography where appropriate
* The five-stage methodology as a recurring visual device

It should feel like a serious modern media brand, not a corporate site, think tank, generic Ghost theme or traditional newspaper.

Ghost requirements

Please customise/build this natively for Ghost and retain Ghost’s native:

* Newsletter subscriptions
* Membership functionality
* Publishing/CMS
* Email/newsletter integration

The site must be fully responsive and particularly strong on mobile.

The final logo is currently being refined and will be supplied separately.

Priority: simplicity. Crosswise launches with one core product. Please do not introduce additional news sections, products, categories or functionality beyond the structure shown in the supplied concepts.
