PR / earned media: get an interior designer quoted and featured in major national home and lifestyle magazines (Sunset, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens, Dwell, Domino, Real Simple, Apartment Therapy, Veranda, Luxe) and leading Northern California titles.
Who: Amy Kunst, principal designer of Designed | Curated Interiors (designedcurated.com), a full-service residential interior design studio serving Sacramento, Marin and Northern California. NKBA committee member. Whole-home design, renovation and new construction, kitchen and bath, universal design and aging in place, high-end homes and second homes.
Existing coverage, so you can see the level we work at: https://www.designedcurated.com/press/ . Amy has already been quoted in Martha Stewart, Good Housekeeping, Homes & Gardens, Mic, Redfin, AOL, FinanceBuzz, GOBankingRates, E-Architect and The Spruce. Do not pitch repeats of those; we want new, bigger titles and regional media.
What we want: named expert quotes, 'meet the expert' panels, contributed commentary, trend pieces grounded in real client work, and project features in: Sunset, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens, Dwell, Domino, Real Simple, Apartment Therapy, Veranda, Luxe Interiors + Design, California Home + Design, and Northern California media (San Francisco Chronicle, Sacramento Magazine, Sactown, Marin Magazine, Comstock's, Sacramento Bee). Each placement should name Amy and Designed | Curated Interiors and, where the outlet allows, link to designedcurated.com, /about/, /portfolio/ or /press/. Not every placement has to be Martha Stewart level, but every outlet must be a real, recognized publication with its own editorial staff.
How we work: Amy approves every pitch, quote, bio, headshot and project image before it goes to any editor. No fabricated quotes, credentials, projects, awards or clients. No bulk generic AI pitches in Amy's voice. No pay-to-play, sponsored content presented as editorial, link marketplaces or PBNs. No guarantees of rankings or traffic.
Payment: fixed price per confirmed placement, released after the article is live on the publication's real site with Amy named, plus the URL and (if present) the link and anchor. Links must stay live 12 months. Bigger titles earn a higher per-placement fee than regional ones; quote both.
Trial: one placement first. Before any outreach send (1) ten named outlets, (2) the editor, section or recurring feature you would pitch at each, (3) one sentence on why Amy fits, (4) the proposed angle, (5) a draft pitch for Amy's approval. We continue if the first placement is real editorial coverage and professionally handled.
To apply: price per placement for national magazines and for regional titles, 3-5 live placements you have earned in home, design, architecture or lifestyle magazines (URL plus the client each one names), and how you reach editors. Proposals that skip these will not be considered.
