## Job Title: Power BI Data & Inventory Analytics Specialist## About Us
We are an established, fast-growing multi-channel e-commerce brand managing a catalog of approximately 450 active products. We partner with large-scale distributors and manage data pipelines across several retail platforms and independent web storefronts. Our business model relies on operational efficiency, data precision, and real-time capital allocation.
------------------------------
We are looking for a skilled Data Analytics & Inventory Specialist to build, optimize, and maintain an automated data pipeline using Power BI and the Microsoft Ecosystem.
Your primary mission is to consolidate data from multiple distinct sources—including daily/weekly distributor spreadsheets, multi-channel platform sales data, and advertising metrics—into a unified, clean, and highly automated decision system that guides our replenishment and tracking.
------------------------------
## Key Responsibilities
1. Multi-Channel Profitability Dashboards
* Build a unified data model in Power BI aggregating data from various third-party platform exports, independent storefront datasets, and ad platform reports.
* Standardize and map product variations across disparate channels into a single master product table to handle naming and SKU discrepancies.
* Write DAX measures to calculate true net margins per item by accurately separating channel-specific overhead and marketing expenses.
2. Automated Supplier Inventory Matching
* Utilize tools like Power Automate to streamline data extraction from recurring email data dumps, auto-saving files to OneDrive or SharePoint.
* Build automated "Buy Alert" modules that cross-reference incoming vendor stock levels against current internal inventory deficiencies to flag purchasing opportunities.
3. Predictive Replenishment Forecasting
* Structure robust data-cleaning steps in Power Query to normalize varying spreadsheet layouts and messy source files without breaking the primary dashboards.
* Develop short-term and long-term moving velocity metrics to project exact depletion timelines and automate reorder point triggers.
4. Capital Allocation & Budget Tools
* Design interactive parameters (such as What-If sliders) to filter procurement metrics against fixed capital limits.
* Program ranking models that dynamically prioritize item lists based on velocity, margin performance, and advertising efficiency.
------------------------------
## Required Technical Qualifications
* Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service (DAX data modeling and dashboard layout design).
* Proficiency with Power Query for advanced data cleansing, row filtering, cell normalization, and structural formatting.
* Familiarity or experience with workflow automation tools (such as Power Automate) for automated file management and ingestion.
* Extreme Attention to Detail: Our inventory health depends entirely on exact metrics. Missing data, uncleaned cells, or structural oversight in reporting cannot occur. Precision is always prioritized over speed.
* Experience or background in the e-commerce industry or multi-channel retail logistics is a major plus (knowledge of the Amazon ecosystem is highly valued but not strictly necessary).
