Polish My Personal Video Edit

I already have a full rough cut of my personal story video; what I need now is a skilled editor to take it from “good” to goose-bump-worthy. The backbone, shots, and narrative stay exactly as they are—I simply want the viewing experience tightened and elevated.

The first area to tackle is pacing and the way each scene flows into the next. I’m aiming for a steady, moderate rhythm that keeps viewers engaged without feeling rushed, so you’ll be tweaking clip lengths, refining in-points / out-points, and weaving in smooth dissolves rather than abrupt cuts or flashy gimmicks.

Alongside that, please ride the music tracks so every swell lands at the right emotional beat, balance dialogue and ambient sound so nothing competes, and smooth out any jarring volume jumps. Color should feel consistent and cohesive across all photos and video formats, preserving the authentic look while gently nudging saturation and contrast where they drift.

Text call-outs and captions are already placed, but they need cleaner motion, crisper timing, and unobtrusive placement that never steals focus from the footage. Finally, the big reveal at the end must truly land—build tension through subtle timing tweaks, controlled audio crescendos, and a gentle pull-back on color to let the emotional moment shine.

I have created my project on CapCut.This is my first project I’m asking for support with so will need to understand the process and resources needed.
