I am seeking a PhD-level Academic Researcher / Energy Systems Technical Consultant on a 100% paid, fee-for-service consulting basis to assist in adapting my 320-page PhD thesis into a high-impact Q1 journal manuscript targeting top-tier publications such as Applied Energy or Energy (Elsevier). The primary author retains 100% single authorship of the publication.
Thesis Research Scope & Tools:
Title/Subject: Modelling of The Saudi Arabia Energy System with The Future 100% Renewable Energy Systems Scenarios for Power Supply for All Sectors Coupled with Transport Sector Electrification.
Required Software Expertise: Hands-on proficiency auditing output datasets from EnergyPLAN and NREL's System Advisor Model (SAM).
Technical Domains: 8,760-hour national energy balance modeling, battery storage capacity optimization (kWh/MWh), sector coupling (EV fleet integration & Power-to-X), and macro-energy economics (LCOE calculations, CAPEX/OPEX, interest/discount rate sensitivity analyses).
Required 4-Phase Execution Workflow:
Technical Audit: A complete technical audit of the thesis datasets, figures, tables, and 8,760-hour dispatch logic to evaluate data accuracy, system performance, and energy output projections.
Novelty Extraction & Manuscript Planning: Isolating core novel contributions regarding Saudi Arabia's energy transition, defining clear research gaps against recent Middle Eastern literature, and mapping out the paper structure.
Manuscript Development: Developing a concise, high-impact manuscript (6,000–8,000 words) focusing on a strong research gap, rigorous methodology presentation, key results, comparative literature benchmarking, and scientific/policy conclusions.
Technical Quality Check & Submission Package: Executing a reviewer-style quality audit to verify numerical consistency, methodology robustness, figures, tables, references, and conclusions. Shortlisting suitable Q1 journals, formatting the manuscript according to selected author guidelines, preparing the complete submission package (cover letter, highlights), and providing full support through post-submission peer-review revision cycles (Minor/Major revisions).
Candidate Qualifications:
Must hold a PhD in Energy Systems Modeling, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related power systems discipline.
Proven track record as 1st author in top-tier Q1 journals (e.g., Elsevier Energy, Applied Energy, or IEEE Transactions).
