PDF Text Extraction & Formatting

I’m sitting on a collection of text-based PDFs and need the contents lifted out for content-repurposing projects. Every heading, bullet, bold word and paragraph break has to come across exactly as it appears in the original files, so the final output is ready to drop straight into new layouts without extra cleanup on my side.

My preference is a clean, well-structured DOCX or similarly editable format that mirrors the source layout; however, if you normally work with Markdown or HTML to preserve structure, let me know—accuracy and fidelity matter more than the extension. OCR isn’t required because the files are already searchable; this is strictly about precise extraction and format retention.

If you have an automated workflow or a custom script (Python, PDFMiner, pdftotext, Adobe or similar APIs) that guarantees consistent styling and minimal manual tweaking, I’m happy to hear how you plan to tackle it. When you respond, please outline:
• How you’ll ensure formatting fidelity
• An estimated turnaround for a small sample (I can provide one PDF immediately)
• Any limits on file size or page count I should know about

Once we’re aligned, I’ll send the full batch so you can deliver the extracted, fully formatted text in one compressed folder.
