I have several PDFs that contain tabular data, and the set is a mix of standard, selectable-text files and scanned, image-based files. I need every table moved into Excel, keeping the layout faithful to the source but with one clear rule: create a separate worksheet for each PDF page so the structure mirrors the original documents page-by-page.
For the scanned pages you’ll need to run accurate OCR before extraction; the selectable PDFs can be handled with your usual parsing tools. Whichever route you use—Adobe Acrobat, Able2Extract, Tabula, Python-camelot, or a combination—it’s vital that the rows and columns remain aligned and that no characters are dropped.
Deliverable: one .xlsx file per PDF, with worksheets named after their corresponding page numbers, ready for me to review and use immediately.
