I have a batch of PDFs that must be converted with two clear outcomes.
First, every page needs to become an editable Word document that looks and feels exactly like the original—fonts, headings, tables, images, spacing, everything. I do not want a plain-text dump; full formatting must be preserved so the file can be opened in Microsoft Word and used right away with no extra clean-up.
Second, the same PDFs contain blocks of text data that I need captured into Excel. It is straight text rather than complex tables or charts, so the goal is a clean worksheet where each logical field sits in its own column for easy filtering and analysis.
Accuracy is critical. OCR or any automated extraction you use (Adobe Acrobat, ABBYY FineReader, etc.) has to be followed by manual proofreading so the Word layout stays intact and the Excel sheet has zero typos.
Deliverables:
• Fully formatted .docx files matching each source PDF
• A single .xlsx file (or individual sheets, whichever is cleaner) containing all extracted text data, neatly organised in columns
I will review the Word files for visual fidelity and the spreadsheet for 100 % text accuracy before releasing final approval.
