Job Title: Experienced Hardware Engineer – Custom Embedded Linux IoT/Controller Hardware (Prototype)
We are looking for an experienced Hardware & PCB Engineer to design a prototype expansion module/accessory for an interactive game controller environment. The device will be a high-performance, ultra-low-power embedded board featuring wireless connectivity (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi) and a 6-axis Accelerometer/Gyroscope (IMU) motion-tracking sensor suite. The target architecture is based on an Embedded Linux platform (ARM/SoC/SoM) with a heavy engineering focus on battery power optimization and custom power management circuits.
Your main responsibility will be board-level schematic design, multi-layer PCB layout, component selection, and preparing production-ready manufacturing files (Gerbers, BOM, Pick-and-Place) for an initial prototype run. The ideal candidate must have deep hands-on expertise with low-power ARM architectures, power distribution networks (PDN), and high-speed PCB design. You will also need to be comfortable working alongside our internal software developers to support software and board-level system integration, ensuring the hardware brings up cleanly with the target operating system.
Budget & Next Steps:
This project has a dedicated $5,000 budget for the initial design and prototype phase, with potential for follow-on projects upon successful completion. If you have a proven track record designing custom Embedded Linux hardware, wireless IoT devices, or motion-sensing electronics, please apply with a portfolio or examples of previous PCB designs.
