I need a set of reader-friendly e-books that guide patients through three key areas of their health journey: chronic diseases, preventive health, and medication management. Each e-book should translate current, evidence-based guidelines into plain language that a non-medical audience can act on immediately.
The tone must be empathetic yet authoritative, avoiding jargon while still reflecting sound clinical knowledge. Whenever statistics, treatment options, or lifestyle recommendations are discussed, cite trusted sources such as the CDC, WHO, or peer-reviewed journals. Graphics or call-out boxes are welcome if they help break down complex ideas, but keep the file size reasonable for easy digital distribution.
Deliverables
• Three separate e-books (one per topic) in both editable Word/Google Docs and final PDF format
• Readability target: roughly 6th–8th grade level, verified with a common readability tool
• Accurate in-text referencing plus a short resources list at the end of each book
• Consistent structure across titles (introduction, main sections, actionable tips, glossary, references)
Acceptance criteria
The project is complete when each e-book passes a basic medical accuracy check, meets the readability target without losing essential clinical detail, and is ready for direct patient distribution without further design work.
