Hiring a Video Editor (Part-Time)

Quick context before you dive in. I’m Saniya, a self-employed social media strategist and creator. I built my own Instagram page, @saniy_aaaa, to over a lakh followers organically, and I work with brands and founders across India and globally. At 22, I was invited as a chief guest at South Mumbai’s top school. I’m not new to this space, I’m just new to YouTube, and that’s where you’d come in.

I’m building out my YouTube channel and looking for someone to edit my long-form videos, with Shorts as a secondary part of the role. YouTube long-form is the main focus here, Shorts is basically a byproduct of that content. 10-15 YT longform videos a month and similar or more shorts. Like I said its part time.

Quick honesty check: I’m not looking for a complete beginner, but I’m also not expecting an expert either, experts charge accordingly, and that’s fair, just not what this role is.

I’m looking for someone intermediate, someone who’s genuinely edited YouTube long-form before and has a feel for pacing and keeping people watching.

For the kind of YouTube editing style I love, check out channels like Adete Dahiya, Sunny Lenarduzzi, and Kalla Way Marketing. Something close to that vibe would be amazing.

For Instagram and Shorts, honestly, I’m not going to point you to specific accounts, that space changes every few weeks anyway.
What matters more is that you’re currently plugged into what’s working right now, sharp captioning, good sound design, knowing when to drop in text, zoom cuts, that kind of thing.

This is part-time and genuinely flexible, how much you take on depends on your own speed and bandwidth.

One more thing, this content sits specifically in the personal development, education, mindset, and AI/tech space. If you’ve edited in that niche before, that’s a real plus.

Stipend: ₹7,000-10,000/month, depending on your experience level.
