Tiny Tides is a South African swimwear brand looking for a creative, reliable and proactive part-time Social Media & Content Manager to help manage and grow our online presence.
The owner works abroad, so we’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day content and social media side of the brand without needing constant direction.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Planning a monthly content calendar
Creating and editing Instagram Reels and TikToks
Creating Instagram posts, carousels and Stories
Writing captions and scheduling content
Managing Instagram and TikTok
Keeping the brand active and consistent online
Responding to basic comments and DMs
Finding and reaching out to suitable influencers and UGC creators
Coming up with campaign, promotion and content ideas
Repurposing existing photos and videos into fresh content
Providing a simple monthly performance summary
You should be comfortable using:
Instagram
TikTok
Canva
CapCut or similar video-editing software
Meta Business Suite or other scheduling tools
Experience with fashion, swimwear, beauty, lifestyle or e-commerce brands would be a big advantage.
We’re looking for someone who has a strong eye for aesthetics, understands current social media trends and can create content that feels natural and engaging rather than overly corporate.
You don’t need years of agency experience. We’re more interested in your creativity, reliability, understanding of social media and the quality of content you can produce.
Budget:
Up to R5,000 per month
This is a part-time freelance position with flexible hours.
When applying, please include:
A short introduction about yourself
Links/examples of Instagram Reels or TikToks you have personally created
Examples of social media accounts you have managed
Your experience with fashion/e-commerce brands, if applicable
What you would improve or introduce to a small swimwear brand’s social media
Your monthly rate and approximate availability
Please only apply if you are comfortable both planning content and actually creating/editing it.
